Re: Mixer Tracks Not Sending To Master

$

I'm not totally clear where your problem is coming in--you mention signals not going to the Master fader and therefore not being recorded but the Master only comes into play for the output, not the input.

I'm also a bit unsure what you mean when you say you have levels on every channel--is that on the Tascam indicators or in Audition.

Anyway, in your circumstances I'd work through the set up for an Audio device.

1.  Download and install the latest Tascam drivers for your model of interface.   These should be ASIO.

2.  Go to Edit/Preferences/Audio Hardware on Audition.  Set the Device Type to ASIO and (if you're offered a choice) select the Tascam.

3.  Open a new Multitrack session (File/New/Multitrack session.

4.  In the settings panel at the left end of each track, set the input (the dropdown menu marked with the right-facing arrow) to mono then select each Tascam channel you need in order.    If you don't have enough tracks for what you want to do, go to Multitrack/Track/add mono track.

5. Optional but recommended: Go to File/Export/Session as a template.  This way you'll be able to call up your standard blank settings with every new session and not have to go through all the set up.

6.  Arm each needed track for record--click on the small R in a box in the settings area at the left end of the track.  You can arm as many or as few as you want.  At this point you should start to seen level meters on each armed track.

7.  To actually record, just hit the main red record button.

Hope this helps and that your problem wasn't something totally different.

This intolerable attitude which Adobe Nikon maintains about NOT supporting the latest Nikon NEF files DNG format

There, fixed it for you...

Seriously, you're putting the cart before the horse, or whatever the saying goes. Each new camera requires reverse-engineering by Adobe to provide native support. Every single camera model. There's no way they can do that for old and already released ACR versions - the logistics would be overwhelming. I'm sure you understand that if you think about it.

That's why Adobe provides backwards compatibility, for free, with the DNG converter. That's all you need.

This ball is in the camera manufacturers' court. They could end the whole problem in an instant, simply by supporting the open and publicly documented DNG format, which is the closest thing to a standard raw files will ever see.

But no, they see Adobe as competition. So they're not giving an inch. Which is pretty stupid, considering how many more people would buy a camera if they knew there was ACR/Lightroom support from day one.

I've had 4 different laptops running Audition....Fujitsu, Lenovo, Toshiba and now a second Lenovo.  If you can find a suitable Lenovo in your price range, I have no hesitation to recommend them--they seem to have less bloatware installed when delivered and (touch wood) have been extremely reliable compared to the other two brands I've had.

Thanks, I did the previous versions but Muse doesn't show up as an option. This is a mute point anyway. I need to build a single page scrolling site but Muse doesn't provide a way to link menus to sections on the same page. So I guess it's back to Dreamweaver.

The Acrobat DC version is an improved version of Acrobat X. It contains new features and multiple fixes compared to Acrobat X.

You don't need to uninstall Acrobat X to use Acrobat DC. Both versions can exists simultaneously.

You can also try the new Acrobat DC for 7 days before purchasing. Download Adobe Acrobat free trial | Acrobat Pro DC. For more information, see FAQs section.

Hi =)

Select your Symbol.

With your Symbol selected you will have an option at the top "Edit Symbol", click on that button and you should be able to edit your art as normal. I can see the option at the top of the image you provided in the Navigation Bar just above your "Home Sample 2" tab.

I hope this helps. Please let us know if you need further assistance

Re: Photos printing darker than monitor

Just to sum up this two-year old thread.

You have two options for printing from Photoshop. You can either let the printer driver handle color management (which is what most other apps do). In that case PS just passes on the numbers as they happen to be, and the printer handles the rest.

The other option is to let Photoshop handle it. Then you need to pick the correct profile for your particular combination of printer/paper/ink. Photoshop converts from the original document profile and into this print profile, and sends corrected numbers to the printer. You check that both these profiles are correct - document and print - in the PS print dialog.

For this to work, printer color management has to be disabled in the printer driver, or you'll get double profiling.

And you still need to set the correct paper type in the printer driver, as this controls the total amount of ink.

You don't set the document profile as print profile, which is what another poster upthread did. That botches the whole thing, and you're just printing without functional color management at all.
