I'm having exactly the same problem. I'm new to Premiere Pro, have just invested a heap of time at lynda.com learning how to use it. Really enjoying the program and then bam! Crashes left right and centre. It all started when I started altering Gain levels and and effect to reduce a bit of hiss. Starting again in FCP X. So bummed.
